Precise Fuel Injection Control: One of the most important functions is to precisely control the amount of fuel injected into the combustion chamber. By adjusting the opening time and duration of the needle valve, which is controlled by the electronic control unit (ECU) based on various engine operating parameters such as engine speed, load, and temperature, the injector can deliver the exact amount of fuel required for optimal combustion. This precise control helps improve fuel economy, reduce emissions, and enhance engine performance.
High-Pressure Fuel Injection: High-pressure common rail injectors are capable of injecting fuel at extremely high pressures, typically in the range of several hundred to over a thousand bar. The high injection pressure atomizes the diesel fuel into very fine droplets, increasing the surface area of the fuel exposed to the air in the combustion chamber.
